Hey folks-
We only managed about thirty yellowtail out of our night bite but all were beautiful trophy yellowtail! Come daylight we repositioned the boat to deeper water. Before dropping the anchor we saw very little sign of tuna but lots of life. It didn’t take long after coming tight for them to find us though and we kept 2-8 going for the rest of the day. The grade is still amazing with most of the fish in the 70-90# range and a few fish right at 100#. We also had a few standouts in the 115-135# range and lost a few that size to the tax man. All in all a great day. We are going to try for yellows tonight and tomorrow morning then go back to work in the tuna.
