Stripers biting, few salmon in Benicia

Salmon bite has dropped to 1 or 2 per day. Three sturgeon were caught last week from the First Street Pier. Striper bite is hanging on all along the Benicia shoreline. The State Park, 12th, 14th, 1st streets and under the bridge have produced stripers and just about anything will work. Anchovies, sardines, pile worms, blood worms all get action.
