Angler Dan Lazar from Los Angeles, CA checked in with ESFR. On Thursday, Dan fished with his daughter Mimi Lazar and dog Walter at Hot Creek near the Mammoth Airport. "We spent 90 minutes fishing in the middle of the day for one Brown Trout," Dan said. "I used a Size 22 scud on 5x tippet. No dropper. Fished the undercut at my feet. Don't bother casting to the other side. Hot Creek is fishing typical: 2-foot drifts, plenty of aquatic grass."
