Captain Justin Fleck called up this morning with an update from the Excel out of Fisherman's Landing in San Diego, CA. We are checking in from The Ridge. We started at the Rock and had 40 Wahoo. We then moved to the Ridge and has some more great fishing. The Yellowtail were biting at the Ridge on everything. We were catching mid-grade Yellows on Yo-yo Iron, Surface Iron, Dropper Loop, Fly-lined baits and Poppers too! We also had 80 to 90 Yellowfin Tuna. There was also some good action on Wahoo at the Ridge. We had about 60 or so of those.
We are making our way back up the line and we will be looking for some other action … perhaps some Halibut.
