Captain Tino Valentine called in this afternoon with an update from the Freedom out of 22nd Street Sportfishing in San Pedro, CA. We had a charter group that was not quite prepared for the big Bluefin Tuna. So we focused on Yellowtail and Rockfish. We caught 14 Yellowtail (25 pound average), 63 Lingcod, 44 Sheephead (up 13 pounds), 18 Olive Rockfish, 26 Copper Rockfish, 16 Red Snapper, 12 Bocaccio and 88 assorted Rockfish.
We have a 1.5 day trip departing tonite. We are going after the Bluefin Tuna.

Capt Jeff checked in from the Freedom with a trip wrap up to report they ended the trip with 18 of the good grade Bluefin Tuna, the fish were running from around 80 lbs to just over 100 lbs.
