After the 2000-pound trout plant last week, fishing was pretty good at Loch Lomond. Staff member Josh Laeder says the fishing has gotten even better at the lake this week, with "quite a few" limits being reported. Laeder adds the number of larger holdover fish is dropping as the season progresses, and recommends fishing deeper for those larger fish. "The usual power bait and nightcrawlers" are recommended by Laeder as bait, and the fishing is good from the banks as well as from the boats. Bass fishing remains consistent at Loch Lomond, according to Laeder, with largemouths averaging three to five pounds, and occasionally weighing in the 10-11 pound range.
