Fishing at Castaic is good.Largemouth and smallmouth bass have been biting good on plastics in 2 to 25ft.Coves and points have been the best spots.Striper fishing is picking up.Guys are catching some 4 to 10Ib stripers on shad pattern lures.Trolling has been working good.Some smaller 3 to six lbrs have been caught on bait(lugworms,nightcrawlers,and sardines).A few trout have been caught around the lake on a variety of baits.Catfish and bluegil have been slow.

Largemouth and smallmouthbass are still biting good.Plastic worms fished in 2 to 20 ft is working best. Stripers are starting to pick up.Most stripers are being caught trolling shad pattern lures 20 to 50 ft deep. More stripers have been caught on bait lately. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing is still very good at Castaic.Most fish are being caught on plastic worms in 2 to 15 ft deep.Striper fishing is slow but we have been seeing more caught lately. Most stripers are being caught on lugworms and nightcrawlers in 30 to 75ft.Bluegil have been picking up. meal worms and wax worms are working best in shallow brush.Catfish and trout have been slow. ......
