Bass fishing was good this past week, with most fish holding in 25' to 35' of water in rocky areas. Drop shot and Texas rigs have been the most consistent techniques. There are still fish occasionally breaking in open water in the early morning hours, though these fish have proven to be tough to catch. Bluegill action has been fair on red worms fished on the southern shoreline of the lake, in approximately 15’ of water. All other species went unreported.

In the early morning hours, there are a few breaking fish in open water. These fish have been difficult to catch. You're better off concentrating your efforts in 25' to 40' with Texas rigs, jigs and drop shotted worms. Most of the largies have been 1.5 lbs to 2.5 lbs with the occasional 4 or 5 pounder coming in. WEEK ENDING: 7/30/2017                  WATER TEMPERATURE: 82 The early morning has been a bit tougher as of late, due to the fact that the largemouth are chasing bait in open water. Later on it's been almost all drop shot in 25' to 40' of water.
