The bigger stripers have been boiling good. Most of the boils have been in the fish arm. Topwater and shad pattern reaction baits have been working best for the stripers. The largemouth and smallmouth bass have been boiling good in the backs of coves. Flukes have been working good for the bass boils. Small plastics fished in 5 to 30 ft are also working for bass. The bluegill are biting good in shallow brush on waxworms, mealworms and small plastics. The catfish has been slow.

The stripers at Castaic are biting well. Look for boils in the mornings. Topwater and other shad pattern lures. Stripers are also biting sardines and bloodworms in 50 to 100ft. The largemouth and smallmouth bass are biting topwater and other reaction baits in the mornings and evenings. Plastic worms have been working for bass in 5 to 25ft.
