Texas Fish Report

The water temperature is 70-71 degrees. The water level is now down 15-18 feet in some areas, and will be dropping another foot, so be careful over in the East End, your coves are very shallow, we would recommend staying out approximately 100-200 yards from shore. Striper: Medium Action: Striper going very strong in the early morning hours and in the later afternoon over at the dam and inlet area, along the shore rock areas and also along the North Shore, using cut baits, Blue Gill: Slow Action: The reports we have been getting from a few Anglers is over on the North Shore, using meal worms and wax worms. Catfish: High Action: This week there has been plenty of cats being caught over at Launch Ramp 2 and also Launch Ramp 1, coves and catfish alley, hitting on chicken livers and mackerel. Large Mouth: Slow Action: North Shore, and along the reeds and tullies. Try catching them on purple and green robo worms and night crawlers. Trout: No Action: Trout season is coming up!
