Catching the Spotlight
We had a great week of fishing. Bill and Joe caught these Trout out of Lake 3 on green garlic dough bait. Only half of the tagged trout have been caught so far so there are still plenty of tags left. We have three more scheduled stocks left for the season. Be sure to make it out and try your luck. If you catch a trout five pounds or larger be sure to bring it to the General Store to be entered for a chance to win a two night stay in the cabins.
Lake lowdown
Avg. Water Temp: 59.7°F
Water Clarity: .5 ft.
The trout are hitting more on Powerbait rather than lures but there are the occasional fish being caught on mini jigs and spoons. The bass bite is still slow due to the cold water and slow metabolism, but they are still being caught on slow moving creature baits such as Fat Ika’s, Senkos, and Robo Worms.
