The action on the upper lake slowed slightly this past week with slow periods occurring mid-day into the late afternoon. The morning bite has still been producing fish for many anglers before 10:30 am. HUGE Carp have been seen in the marina this past week and can be caught using dough bait or worms. The Striper bite was confined almost exclusively to the dam. Anglers were having the most luck down before you reach the intake tower. Swimbaits and jerkbait lures have been producing the most fish. The Largemouth bite has still been good, however, most fish caught this past week have been 1 lb or less. Nightcrawlers and crankbaits have still been the best tackle to use. Hotspots have been the shoreline, coash cove, firebreak cove, and trout point. The Largemouth are still very shallow for the spawn; between 5 and 15 feet.
