Catching the Spotlight

We had another great week of fishing. Lakes 3 and 4 were stocked last Friday with 500 pounds each. Adam and his family (top left) caught this catfish out of Lake 3 on a nightcrawler. Earnest (top right) caught this catfish out of Lake 2 on mackerel. This catfish estimated at 7 pounds (bottom left) was caught out of Lake 4 on mackerel. Josh caught this tagged catfish (bottom right) out of Lake 4 on shrimp. Our next scheduled stock will take place on May 25th.

Feet The popular baits of choice for catfish this week have been shrimp and chicken liver. Most catfish are being caught on the west side of Lake 4 or the east side of Lake 3. The bass bite is hot right now with many reports of some top water action in the early mornings. Most reports of bass being caught are on frogs and spooks.
