Hi Everyone
The Nautilus continues to have excellent sand bass fishing with 385 sand bass on their am ?? day trip this morning (Monday July 21). The open party twilight trip on the Nautilus last night (Sunday July 20) had 254 sand bass and 1 barracuda for 36 anglers. Large anchovies for bait have been working really well. The Nautilus has open party morning, afternoon, and twilight trips all this week (with the exception of Tuesday morning July 22 which is privately chartered). The Ultra has an open party overnight trip fishing this Thursday (July 24). Limited to 9 anglers at $240. Currently only 2 reservations but this trip should fill pretty quickly. They will be fishing either San Clemente Island or even possible offshore.
The Aggressor has a private overnight charter fishing this Sunday (July 27). Departs Saturday night at 10 pm. Mark has 7 spots open for this trip and is asking $200. Limited to 19 anglers. Should be a fun trip if interested just give us a call.
Also this Sunday (July 27) we our offering one of our Catalina Island Whale Watching Cruises. This trip departs at 9am and views dolphin, blue whales, and lots of other marine life heading across to Catalina Island. Once at Catalina Island the trip docks at Avalon for a 2 hour layover. During the layover you have 2 hours to explore Avalon and enjoy Catalina Island from shore. After the layover the trip continues along Catalina Island and then heads back to Newport Beach viewing dolphin and whales as they go. Returns at roughly 6pm. This trip will be on our brand new whale and dolphin boat the Ocean Explorer (built just to view whales & dolphin). Outdoor upstairs viewing deck with lots of seating, large indoor snack bar with huge windows and booths, full bar, and outdoor 1st level seating. The cost is $73 for adults and $67 for juniors/seniors. And for our email club members receive $10 off for our trip this Sunday (July 27). For more information you can go to www.newportwhales.com or just give us a call. Reservations are highly recommended for this trip. I will send out a schedule of fishing trips for this weekend shortly.
