Good evening folks. Another 4 day trip and after that struggle yesterday offshore we are headed down the beach to fish kelps for yellows, dorado and school size yellowfin tuna. Yesterday was an all day affair with 15 albacore 8 bluefin and 8 yellowfin for the day. Not good but could have been worse. At least the weather was good. The kelp thing seems to be the best bet and from the day we had kelp hopping last trip I would say it is a lot more consistent than the albacore area.
Although you never know.

Good morning folks. Yesterday we had great fishing on kelp paddies. Good action throughout the day with Dorado mixed in on various kelps. Yellows were up to 25 pounds but mostly the typical kelp size being 12 to 18 pounds. The action was needed after the first day of short stopping on small tuna and a few albacore.
