Fishing has been very active the past few days with the shad moving back in the marina pretty thick. There has been a lot of largemouth and smallmouth boils in the marina and out in the coves. If you are able to figure out what they are willing to bite, you can get on a good number of Bass. The stripers haven't been boiling too great recently, but you can still catch them trolling or hitting deeper points with different shad imitation baits. The anglers who are netting live shad are having good days with a lot of fish to report, you just must be able to get the shad. The fellow angler who is willing to bait and wait is still having luck with sardines, anchovies, and lug worms. The catfish has slowed a little with the temperature drop, but people are still landing a few on chicken liver and mackerel. The bluegill and crappie bite have remained steady with most fish biting on mealworms, waxworms, and pieces of nightcrawlers.
