YELLOWTAIL on the 1/2 -DAY "WESTERN PRIDE"
DORADO ON THE 3/4-DAY "FREELANCE"
COME ON DOWN !!!!!!!!!!
Today, Tuesday, the "Western Pride" scored YELLOWTAIL (first appearance of the season) on both the morning and afternoon 1/2-Day trips today to compliment the good BONITO catch; yes, that's right, the BONITO have shown up here on the coast again, and they're the "medium-sized" models, 2-4 lbs, that fill up the bags very quickly (if you can get them to the boat). They're real scrappers that offer a lot of fight, not to mention being excellent to eat!
The "Western Pride" will be running trips every day through Friday, targeting the YELLOWTAIL and BONITO, in full force. There are 2 trips daily, leaving at 6:00 AM and again at 12:30 PM. Call the office for reservations or, if you're not sure (if you make your decision after midnight), be at the landing 1/2 hour before the trip is scheduled to depart and chances are real good you won't have a problem getting on the boat.
The "Freelance" caught over 100 DORADO today and prospects look good for a continuation of this bite. The fish are moving up the coast (ha, ha, San Diego) and conditions are excellent for even MORE to move into the area. The kelp paddies have been full of these "rascals" for the past week and we've been waiting for them to go "full-rack", and today they did. So come and "get 'em, while the gettin' is good"
We have LIMITED LOAD, 3/4 Day trips available daily through Friday. You really want to go on a Limited Load trip to avoid the crowds. This enables you to have a better chance of landing that DORADO (or even possibly YELLOWFIN TUNA which also have shown up in the area), since there's less folks on the boat.
