The Dolphin PM trip finished with 31 Sculpin, 12 Sandbass, 14 Rockfish, and 1 Cabezon for 40 anglers.
The Dolphin AM trip finished with 54 Sculpin, 1 Sheephead, 9 Sandbass, 2 Calico Bass and 23 Rockfish for 22 anglers.
The Liberty finished with 9 Bluefin Tuna (1@25# 8@40-70#) and reported great signs of fish on their Full Day Offshore trip.
The Tomahawk called in this morning with 1 Bluefin Tuna (60#) and 5 Yellowtail on the second day of their 2.5 day trip.
The Shogun reported in with 12 Bluefin on the first of a 3 day trip.
The Royal Star reported in with 14 Bluefin on the first day of a 3 day trip.
The Pegasus returned with 12 Bluefin (60-80#) for 20 anglers on their 1.5 day trip.
May 25th, 2019
The Dolphin PM trip caught 173 Rockfish for 51 anglers.
The Pacific Queen called in with 14 Bluefin Tuna (60-80#) on the boat and saw a ridiculous amount of fish today.
The Condor called in with 3 Bluefin on the deck up to 150 lbs to start their 3 day trip.
The Liberty will be fishing offshore for the rest of the week!
Recommended tackle for these Bluefin trips should include a 25# outfit for kelp patty Yellowtail, a 40# live bait setup with a 1/0 sized circle hook and fluorocarbon, a 50# sinkered bait outfit, and a 60 or 80# flatfall jig setup rigged with fluorocarbon! These past few days, the schools of fish these tuna boats are chasing down can range from 25lbs to well over 100lbs!
