Bass Bite Is Day To Day

The bass bite is day to day, with fish scatted from 5’ to 30’ in the water column. There has been largemouth shoooled up in the backs of both the Kimball, and Barona arms of the lake, but have been difficult to catch. The shallow fish have been eating jigs, rip baits, and small swimbaits. The deeper ones have been taking finesse techniques such as drop shot, Neko rigs.

Bluegill action has been steady, with a few of the larger grade showing up. Mealworms, and crawlers fished drop shot still in the back so coves and cuts throughout the lake. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week.

The bass have been scattered from 1’ to 25’ and were caught on a wide variety of baits, and techniques. In the early mornings look for breaking fish in the marina, around the buoy line at the dam, and both the toll road, and Kimball Arms. There’s still plenty of bluegill in the backs of coves, and cuts, and have been eating dropshotted worms, and mealworms fished under a bobber. Catfish went unreported last week. ...... Read More

The bass bite held up well last week, with most anglers reporting double digit numbers for their efforts. The largemouth are scattered from 0 to 20 feet in water column, and have been biting just about everything. Top waters, swimsuits, glide baits, rip baits and all types of bottom bouncing techniques got bit.
