Texas Fish Report

Largemouth Bass are plentiful in tight but seem reluctant to bite at present being more interested in other things. The bass are hitting crawdads, frogs, and other dark colored plastics.

Catfish were planted Wednesday and have been biting at the West Buoy Line among other spots. Lake Wohlford cats like cut mackerel or chicken liver, as well as dough-bait. Stop by the ranger station for a dough-bait recipe that works well for both catfish and carp.

The crappie fishing seems to be experiencing a lull. Crappie are most often caught using shiners and a variety of mini-jigs, white ones in particular.
