Texas Fish Report

Catfish are being caught throughout the lake, but are especially active at the west buoys and in Oakvale Cove. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver or cut mackerel. Drop by the ranger station to pick up a dough-bait recipe that works well for both catfish and carp.

Largemouth bass can be found around structure. Bass respond well to crawdads, frogs, and dark colored plastics.

Crappie are being caught in modest numbers by boaters trolling for them. They are most often caught on mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
