After a break yesterday due to too much wind and a short frequency on the swell we were back on the water today. Conditions were much improved but the rockfish remained largely off the bite. The Ling Cod on the other hand were snapping like mad. Nearly everyone that put in the effort limited on Lings. The wind and swell mellowed out as the day went on making afternoon trips enjoyable. The Rockfish bit much better in the afternoon producing near limits. The forecast through the weekend looks decent for the nearshore, offshore waters not so much.
We had no Salmon boats out today. As of 7-13-20, 20.9% of the quota has been taken for the area from Cape Falcon to the Or./Ca. border. Don't wait too long or you will miss out.
The Online Reservation Service has been reactivated for your convenience.
There have been two more additions to the All-Depth Halibut openers. July 16-18 and July 30-Aug 1. Get your name in the hat early, we have had really good results with fish for all fishermen and a very good grade at that.
Running 5-hour bottom Fishing and crabbing and 1 and 2-hour Whale Watching Trips daily, weather permitting.
