Our final catfish plant will take place next Friday on July 31st. Catfish are being caught throughout the lake, but the bite is best at the West Buoy Line. Alfredo Lopez of Escondido caught a 12.80# cat at the west buoys using cut mackerel.

Largemouth Bass can be found lurking around structure and respond well to crawdads, frogs, and other dark colored plastics.

The first of three July catfish plants went in yesterday. We have recently expanded our bait options to include catfish bait. We now offer frozen; chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies. Largemouth Bass can be found lurking around structure and respond well to crawdads, frogs, and other dark colored plastics. Crappie are being caught in modest numbers.
