Bass Bite Has Been Fair

The bass bite has been fair on topwater, frogs and drop shot throughout the day, the more boats on the lake the better the bite is. Bluegill still coming in as well as some of the lakes larger red ear. Drop shooting nightcrawler and red worms has been the best tactic for the panfish.

PM Hours Have Been The Best Bet

The bass were scattered from 3’ to 50’. Most of the bait seems to be way off the bank and the only thing on them has been terns, and pelicans. The PM hours seem to be the best, drop shot, rip baits, small swimbaits and jigs were the top producers. The bluegill have been steady in areas with large boulders, as well as the back of coves. Bass Are Schooled up and Chasing Silversides in Open Water

Not much has changed since last week, a lot of bass are schooled up and chasing silversides in open water. Flukes, small swimbaits, and small spoons have produced on the boilers. Drop shot and other finesse techniques fished in 25’ to 45’ of water have been working as well. The bluegill are still chewing in the backs of coves, and areas with very large boulders on drop shotted red worms and crawlers. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week. ...... Read More
