The Surfrider got underway last Saturday for five hours of fishing for Rockfish, Ling Cod and Crab. The bite was slower than expected but they persevered and got the majority of their Rockfish a decent number of Lings and better than a half dozen crab per crabber. We had a trip scheduled on the Surfrider again for this Saturday (the 19th) but the marine forecast is hideous. High winds and high seas will make for an ocean to watch safely but not one we can fish on.
Lincoln County has been moved into the High Risk category. In order for us to be able to run trips we must strictly adhere to the masking and distancing requirements. Masks REQUIRED on and offshore, social distancing and of course common courtesy and most importantly common sense.
Crabbing in the open ocean is open. Add it to your fishing trip for $20. You must also have a shellfish license.
