The bait shop and boat shop are finally back open after a long winter. We just reopened 2/6/21 and have only been back 3 days. From this weekend reports things were pretty tough for most. We did have a few trout stockings over the winter and anglers have been catching a couple here and there. Powerbait and garlic nightcrawler. Have been working best.
Largemouth are still in deeper waster but have been hitting nightcrawler and plastic worms. Some anger using white flies have also been having some luck.
The Striper have been biting on shad and imitation baits, either on the troll or down deep. Umbrella rigs, spoons, flies and ice jigs have been accounting for most fish caught. The cut bait seems to be picking up a little as well.
Bluegill have started to move a little shallower and angler shave managed a few on meal worms and wax worms. A few nice fish have been landed off shore with the use of trout swimbaits.
