Texas Fish Report

Been a long 2 weeks of wind we have had to deal with and it was great to be back on the water! Today's trip I had two of the best deckhands to work the deck, Hunter and Fisher. With names like that who wouldn't want to go fishing today? I must say that the two anglers I had on board today have influenced and took a major part of me being where I'm today. Lawrence Quigley of Fishworks can make an amazing product, but his skills on the water are even better. It was a pleasure for Squig (Lawrence) to fish with us and see this area for himself what this place is all about. Not just that he caught his first Seabass of the season but, he was introduced to a way we fish for them. Keith Jones was the other angler and he and I have had the pleasure of fishing together for the last 11 years.

The water is still a little cold but, it looks like things are heading the right direction. The bass bite was fair and there was a handful of barracuda around to make things interesting.

We have the boat ready and heading back tomorrow in hopes of getting Nicole's first seabass of the season. Happy Mother's Day! Isn't that the best gift to give the Mother of your two children?
