I recently fished with Captain Ryan Bostian and crew aboard the 75 ft San Diego ,fishing out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay. With reports of a few bluefin, albacore and kelp paddy yellows combined with up and down conditions at the Coronado Islands, Captain Bostian decided to venture offshore for the days fishing. We launched at 5:30 am and headed straight out to the offshore grounds. The weather was awesome and we found numerous nice kelp paddies. Many of the paddies were empty but we did find a few that were holding fish. Everyone on board fished hard and we were able to land six yellowtail as well as some nice bonito. Tom Shepard took jackpot honors with a nice yellowtail, Way to go Tom !! Special thanks as always Captain Ryan Bostian and the fine crew aboard the San Diego: Larry Kita, Rene Monteagudo and Chris Thomas. The San Diego leaves everyday at 5:30 from Seaforth Landing in San Diego fishing the Coronado Islands and beyond. Call the landing at 1-619-224-3383 or check the Seaforth website at www.seaforthlanding.com
