Texas Fish Report

We just had a trout stocking last week on 5/11/21 and anglers have been managing some decent stringers with Powerbait and Kastmasters. The bite has bene decent and most angler shave been managing near the marina.

The largemouth and smallmouth are continuing to bite decent thought the whole week. A lot of fish have come off plastics on drop shot and Carolina-rig. A few reaction baits and top waters have been getting a little attention, with the bait fish starting to show up in the shallows. The water contains to drop and spots continues to disappear, which has made fishing a little tougher these past few days.

The striper are also starting to bite better, which a few boils being spotted here and there. Flies on lead-core line have been producing decent quality lately, with more action off anchors and nightcrawlers down deep.

The catfish are starting to make more of an appearance with chicken liver and mackerel.

The bluegill and crappie are biting in most coves around fished and submerged trees. The lower lake has been producing some good bass lately too.
