Despite the big turnout for the 4th of July and with a big algae bloom the fishing has really taken off. The Largemouth bass can be caught almost anywhere on the lake and on any bait, but night crawlers seem to be working the best. Artificial baits have been working to, Robo Worms, little minnows and many other types of bait with a light green color to them have been working. The bass are keying in off of the points of the fronts of the coves in the fish arm. Striper fishing at the fore bay buoyline is still 100%. People are catching limits all day long, most if the fish don\'t have any real size to them but you still might be able to catch a 2 to 4 pounder. Anchovies are working the best for the stripers. You can catch them around suicide point, back near Elizabeth Canyon, over by Sharron\'s rest and off of the shore of government cove to the right of the Marina. Dam fishing for the stipers is still not doing that well especially for th swim bait bite. There are still a few reports of pan fish being caught in Hawks Nest and Old SS on meal worms and small bite sized places of anything to fit in their mouth. There is a lot of green growing in the water around the main ramp docks which is now home to hundreds of baby bass fry and some small still un-net able shad. Bass fishing at the lagoon is also still doing very well on the night crawlers at all time of the day. Don\'t forget about the moonlight fishing coming up this Sunday July 11th at 8:00 PM till 2:00 AM.
