Another great day with both of our salmon boats were either limited early in the trip with another just two fish short of a limit. Really nice Chinook salmon picture that was caught. The vessel which was short two fish had to end the salmon version of the trip and go bottom fishing as it was a 8-hour combo trip.
Bottom fishing
One of the vessels was in early with limits of rockfish but did not hear from the boat that he was able to land any legal Lingcod.
Crabbing
Crabbing continues to be really great either in the deeper water spots or the shallow water beach area spots

The Tradewinds Depoe Bay fleet will not be running bottom fishing or salmon trips tomorrow (Thursday-August 12th) because of a reported large swell that is forecasted to hit the coastal waters off Depoe Bay early in the morning. Swells could be 8-9 foot and there movement will be out of the west and with a minus tide to boot that gives opportunity for the Depoe Bay bar to be very nautical and can be dangerous to cross.
