Striped Bass: Fishing report similar to last week however, the striper bite has picked up. Cut baits, shad and nightcrawelers have been working best. Best bite is still early morning hours and later afternoon, throughout the lake.
Bluegill: High action for bluegill using meal worms or crickets in the reeds. Mini jigs tipped with meal/crawlers, deeper water or across the marina. Also use a small bb split shot and wait for the strike on the fall.
Catfish: catfish are still very slow this past week. But still some to be had. The lakes water else is rising the current has slowed near the inlet allowing for better cat fishing. Use chicken liver, mackerel or anchovies for best results.
Largemouth Bass: Largemouth bass have slowed a bit, however seem angler shave reported a pretty decent bite throughout the lake using senko or robowroms for best results. Deeper water, but bait is best although if you doh’t mind a hike you can still catching some over at the peak.
Trout: last stock was Jan. 4th next stock is Jan. 8th.
