The bass bite has been getting better by the day here, as more and more fish are moving up on the bank. Most of the largemouth are 1.5 lbs. to 2 lbs. bucks with the occasional 3 to 5 pound female showing as well. Finesse techniques have been producing the best as well as jerk baits and small swimbaits. There were a few nice red ear and bluegill reported but for the most part the panfish are still laying low. There were some visuals on some of the lakes large blue cats but were reluctant to bite.
Water temperature: 61 degrees.

San Vicente ReservoirBass fishing a little tough for most, as the largemouth are scattered from 3' to 50' in the water column. Finesse tactics such as drop shot, shakey head etc, have accounted for most the catches. Some consistent warm weather should have them moving up, and back, and on the chew.
