Today the Mr. Max had a later departure due to extremely low tides in Depot Bay. Most of the time we don't have issues with tides. However, when we have a super minus tide and right at departure time, we do at times have to wait for water to come in order to get out of the harbor without hitting bottom. All of our customers got a phone call yesterday to let them know they could sleep in, and we left the harbor just before 8 o'clock this morning. Mr max returned home with limits of Rockfish and 33 Crab. This is a good sign for crabbing and hopefully it continues to get better and better.
