Texas Fish Report

It has been a week of wild weather with wind, rain, and plenty of cold. Those few intrepid anglers who chose to brave the elements were rewarded with an unflagging trout bite that resulted in some big trout being caught, in addition to any possible pneumonias.

 

Large trout of the week belonged to Fausto Sanchez of Escondido who caught an 8.60# trout using rainbow powerbait near the Crappie Float. Other notable catches included Ricky Fukute’s 8.10# and Bradley Johnson’s 6.90# trout.

 

Catfish can be found throughout the lake and prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver.
