What's up everybody! We stocked lakes 4, 5, and 6 with 1,000 lbs. of trout from Mt. Lassen for our re-opener last weekend. In the mix were trophy lightnings and rainbows. Pictured above are a couple of solid fish caught since last weekend and the bite has remained consistent. There is going to be some rain this weekend but for those willing to brave the conditions there are still a good amount of fish out there to be caught. The baits that are working best for trout include powerbait, nightcrawlers, and mini jigs such as rooster tails, kastmasters, or rat tails. Our next stock will be on the 26th of January.
The bass bite is still a little slow currently. Jerkbaits, dropshot worms, and swimbaits are some good options right now since the water temperature has been dropping. The water has also gotten murkier recently with water visibility around 2-3 ft so keep that in mind.
