The Salmon bite was decent for some of the anglers who worked the Monterey area early and late. The bite was good for some anglers first thing in the morning but then it died after 9:30. The bite did pick up later near Monterey at 1:00 pm. The best numbers were from 36'42/122'01 to 36'36/122'00. There were a few fish caught in the Soquel Hole, Pajaro, and near Moss landing in 220-300 feet of water. The scores ranged from 0-2 fish in those areas. The best numbers around here were 36'51/121'59 and near Moss at 36'48/121'49. The water was flat calm all day long allowing anglers to run to different areas to try for Salmon. The best bet still seems like Monterey but there were some 20-28 pound fish weighed in from Pajaro and the Soquel Hole. There are still some big 30 plus pound Salmon around so be prepared and up your line test.??
