The California side of the EW is closed for Winter, just the Nevada side is open now. We've started to get a few reports from the Nevada side lately, some days have been pretty good while other days have not been so good. On the good days it sounds like they're eating small midge patterns like zebra midges, pheasant tails, hare's ears, perdigons, copper johns, rainbow warriors and silver streaks. We've heard of a few fish caught on small stonefly nymphs as well. Haven't heard anything lately about streamers or dries. We're supposed to be getting a few days of pretty good snow starting tomorrow, we'll have to see how that plays out but this could change things a bit. After this next series of storms, if the weather warms up a bit I'd expect the stonefly activity to start getting good.
