Texas Fish Report

Yesterday we had our annual trip in remembrance of Gary Kubo, a great friend whose family and friends have chartered boats with us for almost 50 years. Starting all the way back with their trips with Loran Leese and Art Roby on the Huck Finn in Berkeley when Jay and I were deckhands in the late 70’s, the Kubos have become family and the joy of fishing has been passed down through their generations. Friends and family, kids and grandkids, all gathered together to fish, eat, share stories, and pop open a beer in Gary’s honor, keeping the tradition going.

We ended up fishing the coast and our final score was 180 rockfish, 18 lingcod and another memorable charter for the gang of 18.
