MT. LASSEN DELIVERED TROPHY TROUT THIS WEEK
The weather is beautiful, after a small amount of snow yesterday. The trees are starting to leaf out and everything is turning green.
Notables:
(1) Elizabeth of San Diego, age 9, caught a 1.5 pound trout using a night crawler at the Fox Hole.
(2) Teddy Conley, age 15 of Lakeside, caught a 4.3 pound trout using power worms and power bait at the Willows.
(3) Roger Waltman of Yuma AZ, caught a 4.15 pound trout using Rainbow Power Bait from the shore at Heron Point.
(4) Kieran Park Bozner of Spring Valley and his grandpa, Allen William caught their limit of trout using night crawlers and Rainbow Power bait at Pumphouse cove and the shore.
(5) Laird Dranes of St Paul MN caught his limit of trout with the largest weighing 5.5 pounds using Rainbow power bait at Pumphouse Cove.
(6) Barney Mead of Santee caught a 6.1 pound trout using a gold Kastmaster and Green power bait at Lone Pine.
(7) James Toth, Alex Hovath Jr and Alex Hovath Sr from San Diego and Canada caught their limit of trout, the largest weighing 6.5 pounds using worms with scent at Pumphouse Cove.
(8) Lucas Schreiner, age 11 and Logan Schreiner age 9, of El Cajon caught 2 trout weighing a total of 10 pounds using green Power Bait at Pumphouse Cove.
(9) Joel and Willie Lamont of Vista caught 10 trout weighing a total of 6.5 pounds using Rainbow power bait at Pumphouse Cove in just 3 hours.
There is a free fishing class every Saturday at the Launch Ramp. Meet Ranger Charlie at 10:00 AM
THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS AND MOTORS BEFORE A LAUNCH. ALSO, FLOAT TUBES AND WADERS MUST BE WASHED DOWN BEFORE USING THE LAKE. THERE IS A FEE FOR THE WASH DOWN.
