Texas Fish Report

Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. We are open everyday at 6am. Closing time for shore fishing is sunset. Duck hunting starts in December 1st. Mt. Lassen delivered 1000 pounds of their sierra bows this week. They weighed 3 to 7 pounds. The trout fishing has been good all week. There were some 2 hour limits on Thursday. Free fishing class is held every Saturday at 10:00 am. Meet Ranger Charlie at the launch ramp. The decontamination washdown is required for all private vessels and motors before a launch. Also, float tubes and waders must be washed down before using the lake. there is a fee for the wash down. Notables: Kyoungeun Park of Anza caught a Bass weighing 5.5 pounds on a worm. Chris Jiacoletti of Santee and friends caught 9 trout, weighing a total of 22.5 pounds, the largest was 7.6 pounds using a Kastmaster spoon lure on the North Shore near the Dike. Larry of Poway caught 3 trout , 6.7 pounds, 6.12 pounds and 4.12 pounds using a Jake with red dots, casting out from shore. Andy Miller and Roger Vakkers of Spring Valley caught 10 trout, weighing a total of 15 pounds. the largest was 4.8 pounds. They were using power bait from the North jetty. Pam Miranda and Todd Hughes of Alpine caught 10 trout weighing a total of 18 pounds. Their largest was 6.4 pounds. They were using nightcrawlers from the Handicapped dock.
