Ventura Landing ~ 04/22/11 ~ off day for SEABASS, but GREAT rockfish!

Today we had 2 boats and 61 anglers. Both boats gave it they're best on the white seabass this morning, but conditions were not right. The Island Spirit fished for a short time before moving out to catch close to limits of rockfish for all 43 anglers aboard.
The Pacific Dawn fished for seabass early at Santa Rosa, but again no bites and conditions were off. Rockfishing mid-day was excellent and in fact they were finished early. Last I heard, captain Pat was moving back into the shallows to give the seabass evening bite another try. HOPEFULLY we will have an updated fish count this evening.
Both of our boats have OPEN PART trips upcoming. The Island Spirit is open all weekend departing at 6am. The Pacific Dawn's next open trip departs Sunday night at 10pm for its "seabass special" fishing Monday. THIS TRIP IS FILLING QUICKLY, so book your spot ASAP. Give the landing a call 805-676-3474
