Hello Anglers,
We arrived at the island at 0800 and saw good life around the first area that we looked at. There was steady action up until 1300 when it seemed to back off for us. The grade of yellowtail was in the 15 to 28 pounds and they were biting the bait and the jigs the best. Late in the day we found a good spot that we picked 22 more really quick and then they vanished on us. Tonight we are going to stay the night and see if we can pick up a few more yellows and then make our next move according to what we catch. Shawn and the crew

7-10-2004Hello Anglers, Today was the first day of a six day trip and we started offshore for albacore and yellowtail. The fish seemed to be down today with not a whole lot to show for our efforts. We picked up 41 Albacore 30 to 45 pounds. We also fished a kelp that we picked up 31 yellowtail from 15 to 27 pounds which is outstanding size for yellowtail on kelp paddies.
