Changing weather has resulted in the fishing being on again off again at Lake Skinner

This past week had a mixed bag of weather ranging from very hot to humid and raining. We also had some wind that affected the catching of fish.

Catfish have been hitting good on Mackerels and the Stripers have been hitting good on nightcrawlers. We have also heard of some luck with plastics. If you are in a boat, the inlet channel has been successful for some, while others have done well along the south shore near launch Ramp # 2.

With the recent stocking of catfish we had a large number of catches. Anchovies seemed to be what was working with the Stripers. Currently some of the hot spots have been over by the dam and handicapped area. The South shore has also been getting some hits....... Read More
