Texas Fish Report

Captain Paul Munowitch and the Pacific Islander have been all over the hot Channel Islands seabass and halibut bite with consistent scores of big croakers and flatties hitting the log books at Channel Islands Sportfishing Center in Oxnard. I fished with Captain Paul and crew this past weekend on an overnight trip to the outer Channel Islands. We fished hard and were able to put 8 nice seabass to 34 lbs on the decks and one nice 20 lb flatty for our mornings effort. We spent the afternoon battling strong winds and currents for some nice reds and chucks before calling it a day and heading for the harbor. Captain Paul and his crew were awesome as always and its always a pleasure to fish on the spacious Pacific Islander. The Pacific Islander has some great overnight open party trips on the books fishing on 8/4, 8/8, 8/11,8/16, 8/17, 8/19 leaving the night before at 10 pm. They also have an upcoming 1 1/2 day trip departing 8/23 for fishing all day on 8/24 and are available for private charters.
