Feather River; ocean salmon getting ready to make a move

Salmon anglers are finding slow action on the Feather River, reported local guide Kevin Brock. "The salmon fishing is slow overall on the Feather", said Brock. "We are using silver/chartreuse K-15 and K-16 Luhr Jensen Kwikfish first thing in the morning to take our best shot at the salmon.
"Once the sun hits the water, if we see fish in the area we will switch to cured roe. Otherwise there has been some decent action on two to four-pound steelhead on nightcrawlers and roe." Brock tipped, "We are very excited to hear that there are a lot of salmon in the ocean that are getting ready to head upriver."
