Ms. Kitcia Ceja, our Mazatlan reporter for the Aries Sportfishing Fleet, was unable to provide a report for the past week due to a lack of boats fishing. For the first time in the many years that I have reported for Mazatlan, this is the first time we have encountered a
complete non-fishing week. We have had a few slow weeks in the past but nothing that would indicate a non-fishing week without a single boat leaving the dock.
Mazatlan Climate:
Partly cloudy days with intermittent sunshine, and overall, a pretty good weather week with some P.M. summer tropical showers. Temps ranged from 74 nights to 86 daytime highs and humidity level at 79%.
Sea Conditions:
Fairly flat waters this past week, looking from the beach with temps stable at 84-85 degrees throughout the area.
Best Fishing Area:
None Reported
Best Lure/Bait:
None Reported
Bait Supply:
Readily available throughout the week for both, dead trolling baits and live baits.
