Red Rooster III leaves on its Newell/Hyabusa/Seaguar 8 Day Trip

Good evening folks:
We left yesterday on our annual Newell/ Hyabusa / Seagar 8 day trip. As usual we had a great giveaway and raffle that included tackle and reels. Also shirts and hats. A nice welcome for the guys from the sponsors. Today has been a nice day of travel with a seminar in the morning and rigging the rest of the day.
We might make a quick stop at Bonitos just to break up the ride and be fishing offshore tomorrow looking for Dorado on kelps and whatever else we can come up with . The weather is getting better all day and tomorrow looks to be flat calm. A perfect setup to look offshore.
We will report again tomorrow.

10-10-2011Good evening folks: Tough day here today. We spent the day offshore outside the ridge and came up with a couple of kelps with very little on them. We had one wahoo in the morning and hooked a couple others on kelps but witha few dorado that was it. A lot of off colored water . Plenty warm just greenish. Not good.
