Nov. 16 through April 27 - For salmon fishing on the American River, North Fork, Middle Fork, South Fork and their tributaries above Folsom Lake (Placer, El Dorado, Amador and Alpine counties), only artificial lures with barbless hooks may be used. Please see the regulations at www.dfg.ca.gov/regulations/FreshFish-Mar2011/.
