Captain Ron called in with this report from te Point Loma. "I've started my halibut run and it has been pretty good fishing. Today we had 9 fish, the largest was 28 lbs. we had a lot of nice ones. We had 5 short ones. Yesterday we had 7 fish. There seems to be a few around. Yesterday our catch included some sand bass, sculpin and some pretty good brown rockfish.
"The boat leaves around 7:00 AM and gets back at 4:00. We are fishing Wednesday thru Sunday. The price is $66.00. Come catch a fat one, our big fish over the weekend was 34 lbs. If you want to go out with us call Point Loma Sportfishing at (619) 223-1627. There are some big ones around. The fish spawn in April and May so the fishing will get better."
